American History-Culture Movies - OzPCTrader

It is surprisingly difficult to find a definition for this film genre. Personally, I would have split this into American Culture Films and American History Films.

In both cases the genre would refer to the plot of the movie. So, it would be a film about American culture or about American history. The movies im my catalog are mostly American history movies.

I wonder if a movie classified as an American history movie contains only historical facts or if it can also contain fiction. In any case, I would recommend to all educators to properly research any history movie before using it for educational purposes.

It's a bit of shame that there are not more American culture movies in my catalog. If you have never seen it, check out my favorite American culture film of all times, American Graffiti. This movie has risen to cult status and one of its scenes has even inspired the guys from Myth Busters.
